The International Conference on Saponins „Phytochemistry & Application of Plant Saponins” was held September 8-10, 2004, in Pulawy, Poland.

    The 96 scientists all over the world (from 8 European countries and from Georgia, Moldova, Bulgaria, South Korea, China, India, Turkey, USA, Canada, Brazil, Israel, Nepal, Saudi Arabia) who attended the meeting discussed the latest achievements and new directions in saponins research. In three thematic sessions they have delivered 31 lectures and presented 79 posters.

    Abstracts have been published in the Book of Abstracts of International Conference on Saponins “Phytochemistry & Application of Plant Saponins”.They are also available on the webpage http://saponins.iung.pulawy.pl The full text of plenary lecture (review article) will be published in the Phytochemistry Review.
